Installation
What is the maximum that the TurboSwing can tow?
The TurboSwing has a tow rating of 600 pounds dry weight. We have already factored in the drag when considering this.
To install the TurboSwing, must I make holes in my boat or reinforce the hull?
No, you would not have to reinforce your hull. The TurboSwing will be mounted on the transom; it is the strongest structure of the boat. The TurboSwing holders fit exactly on the motor bracket and will be, together with the motor, mounted on the transom using the same bolts. The holders are universal, therefore the holes in the holders match the holes in the motor bracket. All motors have the same brackets. The main bolts at the top of the motor bracket that are already present will be used. For reasons of stabilization, on both sides a 2nd hole will be drilled and a 2nd stabilization bolt installed in one of the 4 or 5 pre-drilled bolt holes. Always leave a minimum of 1, but preferably 2 holes between the main bolt and the stabilization bolt. Otherwise, no drilling or sawing is required at places that are unsuitable and that could weaken the structure of the boat. Reinforcement with epoxy and/or other structural reinforcement is unnecessary.
Does the TurboSwing come with a pulley?
Yes, the turboswing will come with one pulley. Additional pulley's can be purchased if you wish to pull multiple tubes.
How long does it take to install a TurboSwing?
Installation takes roughly an hour, depending on your skill level. It is very easy and most people will be able to do it on their own.
What if I don't have access to the existing bolts?
The TurboSwing comes with two extra motor bracket bolts that can be used to mount the TurboSwing directly to the transom if it is not possible to use the motor bracket or if you do not wish to mount it using the motor bracket.
Do you have dealers near me?
You can search for dealers near you on our Local Support page.
How can I get directions for use of my turboswing? I need them and they were not in the box
If instructions were not in your shipment you can find them online on our website under the installation tab or call us for us to email you a link to them.
can you mount the turboswing if your motor is on a jack plate?
Yes! We have had success when installing a TurboSwing with jack platesbefore. When installing with a jack plate it actually makes it easier to install. You won't have to drill through your transom but drill through the jack plate instead, or your jack plate may already have accommodating holes. You can also call or email for more dimensions as well to give you a better idea if it would work for your specific set up.
Can TS be mounted to seastar jackplate that have port and starboard powerpoles that are attached by powerpole brackets to jackplate?
Yes it can!
What do you use to attach the black pad on to the motor?
For TurboSwing installation, we recommend using 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4200FC as it is tack free in 1 hour and can allow for disassembly if needed. It is a non-PVC, non-silicon sealant this is recommended as silicon base sealant can stain gel coat.

Product Info
What are the dimensions of a Turboswing XXL? We have a turboswing on our 115 Yamaha but can’t figure out what size it is. We are getting a 150 Yamaha and the website says a XXL is used for both motors. Just want to measure our current turboswing to try and determine if it is an XXL or not. Thanks much!
For the XXL you can measure the bar from the widest part of the bend to the widest part of the end on the other side and it should measure 46 7/8 inches across.

Can this be install on Tohatsu 20HP?
We consider several factors when sizing the TurboSwing®: the make, horsepower, and cowling size of your motor. If necessary, you may move up a size. However, due to possible contact between the TurboSwing and the motor, we do not recommend moving down...
I have a 2022 Sun Tracker 20' Part Barge with a Mercury 90hp. I saw on one site where the Turbo Swing was not compatible with some Sun Tracker models. Will this fit on my boat?
Unfortunately, we do not recommend TurboSwing products with a Party Barge Pontoon. Near the engine mounts, there is a  lip/fin that causes a water spray into the boat. This spray may also spray onto the rope. In addition to the spray, the engines...

care-and-maintenance-icon.png
Care & Maintenance
What maintenance is required on the TurboSwing?
Maintenance is minimal. Corrosive substances, such as salt, chlorides and iron oxide, are found in the water. Clean off any deposits using a plastic brush (do not use a metal scouring pad), boat soap and water. For stubborn dirt and lime scale, use a waterline or hull cleaner. After cleaning or using the TurboSwing, rinse it off thoroughly with clean water.
Does the TurboSwing's stainless steel construction influence my aluminium motor or boat (dissimilar metals)?
Your boat's outboard motor also contains stainless steel parts and is therefore equipped with anodes for cathodic protection. Ensure that the anodes are always in good condition to avoid galvanic corrosion. The installation of the TurboSwing can lead to the sacrificial anodes shrinking more quickly, therefore, check them regularly. There is a hole at the base of the holders to which an additional anode can be attached if required. The anodes should be checked more regularly, or consideration should be given to installing more anodes, if the boat will be in salt water for a long time.
Can I buy replacement parts?
Yes. You can find them on our Parts catalog under Accessories
