A TurboSwing is a fantastic addition to your boat, providing exhilarating water sports experiences for your family and friends. However, like any other piece of equipment, it requires regular maintenance to ensure it stays in excellent condition. In this blog, we'll provide you with some essential maintenance tips to keep your TurboSwing performing at and looking its best.

Normal TurboSwing Maintenance

Stainless steel is known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, making it the ideal material for TurboSwing bars. To maintain the aesthetics and performance of your TurboSwing, it's important to regularly polish and protect the stainless steel components. Here's how you can do it:

  • Cleaning: Before applying any polish or protector, start by cleaning the TurboSwing bar thoroughly. Use a mild detergent and warm water to remove dirt, salt, and grime. Ensure the surface is clean and free from any debris.
  • Polishing: Once the bar is clean and dry, it's time to polish the stainless steel. You can find a quality stainless steel polish at your local marine supply store. Apply the polish according to the manufacturer's instructions. Typically, you'll need to use a clean, soft cloth and apply the polish in a circular motion. This will help remove any tarnish or oxidation, restoring the stainless steel's shine.
  • Protection: After polishing, it's crucial to protect the stainless steel to prevent future corrosion and maintain the shine. Look for a stainless steel protector or sealer at your local store. Apply the protector as directed on the product label. This protective layer will shield the stainless steel from the harsh marine environment.

Deep Cleaning Your TurboSwing

While regular maintenance ensures the overall condition of your TurboSwing, you might also need to clean the bar more thoroughly at times. For this, using an appropriate abrasive material is essential. Here's what you should do:

Selecting the Right Material: For a brushed (matte) bar, you can use a medium or fine grade clean and finish roll. We suggest the 3M Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish Roll, which is a trusted product for marine cleaning.

Cleaning Process: When working with a brushed (matte) bar, lightly sand the surface with the clean and finish roll. This process helps remove any stains, light scratches, or imperfections that may have accumulated over time. Be gentle to avoid damaging the surface.

Note: It's important to note that this method is not suitable for polished (shiny) bars. Polished bars have a different finish and require a gentler approach. For polished bars, use a dedicated stainless steel polish, as mentioned earlier.

Regular maintenance is the key to extending the life and performance of your TurboSwing. By following these maintenance tips, including using a stainless steel polish and protector for normal maintenance and choosing the right abrasive material for deeper cleaning, you'll keep your TurboSwing looking great and performing at its best. Proper care ensures that you and your passengers can enjoy countless hours of thrilling water sports and adventures. So, don't forget to show your TurboSwing some love and keep it in top shape for years to come.
